Job Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced Roofers for full-time, permanent positions across South London and surrounding areas. This role involves working on a range of commercial and residential properties, delivering high-quality roofing installation, repair, and maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Carry out roofing installations and repairs on a variety of buildings
- Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repair works
- Assess roof conditions and determine appropriate repair methods
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installation
- Install various roofing systems, including flat and pitched roofs
- Work with materials such as tiles, slates, asphalt, and felt
- Ensure all work complies with current health and safety standards
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order
- Report progress and job completion details accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
- Strong understanding of roofing techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in Roofing (desirable but not essential)
Location & Travel
- Work will be based in South London with travel to various sites as required
- Candidates must be flexible with site location and working hours
Compensation
- Salary: £45,000 per annum
- Overtime and weekend work may be available, depending on project demands
